EASE Sweden Placement- FULL
GOTLAND

The EASE placement in Sweden gives participants the opportunity to join excavations on the Swedish island of Gotland. Hosted by the University of Gotland, participants will work alongside a multi-national team on the Viking-Age settlement at Västergarn.
Participants must register with the University by completing this application form and submitting this along with the placement application. Successful applicants will also have the option of following an internet based course for four weeks prior to the placement, accredited by 15 ECTS points (optional).
Viking/Medieval Archaeology and Field Methodology, 15 ECTS
An introduction to the Viking and the Medieval periods that also provides knowledge of archaeological methodology. Two units combine Internet-based studies with practical field investigations.
