NEW: PEATS Spain – Street art and mask making in Catalonia

Dates: going out in late July, coming back late Aug 2020 
Number of UK Participants: 4 +  accompanying Person (CLOSED, all spaces filled)

Duration: 32 days

This placement is managed by the host organisation Amics de Riba-rroja d’Ebre (“Riba-roja d’Ebre ‘s friends) a non profit organisation  located 2 hrs west of Barcelona in the mountains area along the river d’Ebre in Catalonia.

The group will be arriving just before the local festival of Fiesta Majore (1 week festival that takes place in the last week of August). There will be lots going on during that week.

The 2020 itinerary includes:
  • Art: art in streets – spending some time at a nearby finca run by Sarah and Chris (english artists couple) making paints etc. for the street art
  • first week: 2 days of introdcution and creating of idea’s for your journey diary with local illustrator Roser (every friday in the follwing weeks)
  • paper mache’ mask workshop with the art teacher Isabel Torros
  • creating a placement journey diary with local illustrator Roser
  • optional pyrography


flights to Reus or Barcelona and pick up from the airport

accommodation: shared self-catering flat in the village with 4 bedrooms, kitchen and living room

possibly access to a hired car (to be confirmed)


The placement is funded by the EU Erasmus + scheme and covers return flights, accommodation, car hire costs and a subsistence allowance.
